Author: David Peace
David Peace was chosen as one of Granta’s Best Young British Novelists in 2003. In 2004 he won the James Tait Black Memorial Prize for his fifth novel, GB84, and, most recently, his highly acclaimed fictional portrait of Brian Clough, The Damned Utd, was described in The Times as ‘probably the best novel ever written about sport.’ He lived in Tokyo for around 13 years before returning to his native Yorkshire, the setting for The Red Riding Quartet.
